Getting Here

After a long day of travel we arrived in Quito, Ecuador. During our travel we experienced delays, losing my ipod for an hour on the plane [I never told dad that this happened ;)], and confusion over the language.
We rode in a taxi through town to get to our hotel, which is really beautiful. It has a courtyard and a balcony. The first few times we climbed to the top of the balcony we got really out of breath because of the altitude (Conor said it was because the view was breath taking).
One of the main things we have done so far is go on a guided tour to Otavalo Market, a volcanic lake and the middle of the earth a.k.a the equator. Otavalo Market had everything form jewelry to shrunken heads.
The equator was awesome because you could have one foot in the northern hemisphere and one in the southern hemisphere. So far this trip has been amazing.
